“Play is the stick that stirs the drink. It is the basis of all art, games, books, sports, movies, fashion, fun, and wonder – in short, the basis of what we think of as civilization. Play is the vital essence of life. It is what makes life lively.”
- Stuart Brown, Founder of the National Institute for Play
We believe that play is a foundational building block to having a happy, well-rounded life. It is through play that we learn about ourselves and others. How to interact in a variety of social situations, communicating our needs and our actions, and understanding the actions of others. It is our opinion that playing games can be a conduit for the development of important skills like sportsmanship, honesty, patience, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and many more. Moreover, we believe play is an essential component of a joyful existence. Life is much happier when you can “find the fun!”
